I'm open with the 2025 MTL 1st round pick with a top 12 protection and put out the two 2nd round picks, and also put one or two 3rd round pick.

Montreal have a bright future and their management group (Gorton, Hughes and St-Louis) is one the most positively influencal in the league.

Montreal medias aren't really the same that where like 5-10 years ago....

Malkin has two years left on his contract. Habs "bright future" means nothing. He certainly isn't moving to a team worse than Pittsburg. Now he might accept a trade to Vegas, Colorado, Florida or Rangers . But they don't have the cap.

NMC......

Malkin isn't going to allow a trade. He's already stated he will finish his career in PIT and then go play in Russia for a year for his Russian fans.

That last part is neither here nor their... not sure he would want to return home right now.
