I'd keep 11th overall unless you're getting Frost. Cates is nowhere near worth that big of a trade back

Did you forget to add something in that Philly trade? Makes no sense

Hahaha yes! I accidentally moved him and couldn't find where I had put him

In my opinion, people over value the pick outside the 5, the chances of it turning into a player like cates are low

Noah Cates is certainly not worth that first round pick downgrading to a 2nd.

The chances that a top ten pick turns into more than a bottom six player is low? Quinn, cozens, Benson, tage, tuch, skinner, etc would like to have a word with you

What do you think would be fair? A second for their third round pick?

Buffalo is currently slotted in pick 11. Using that pick solely, here are some names dating back to 2005: Kopitar, Bernier, Sutter, Ellis, Forsberg, Fiala, Crouse, Askarov, Geekie. All except for maybe Geekie will have a better career than Cates, who’s a fine player, but not for that level of pick.

Even if what u say is true, Cates doesn’t have that much trade value- that’s just way too much

That’s more reasonable
Philly might not wanna trade him though

Coyotes probably don’t have a great use for that second, or add it the cupboard of seconds they all ready have, probably moving everyone to Utah that has term, than adding players with cash or picks over going younger or draft capital.

I'd do that. The 1st is just far more valuable as far as STAR hit rate and NHL hit rate.
