Raymond has a significantly better production than Keller did at his age. That gets shot down before the offer is even made.

I agree, and I see it may have been stupid of me to bring it up lol, but I just thought from Arizona perspective they would’ve want Raymond. But I knew from the start that Detroit wouldn’t do it, like I said in my very first comment

If Keller were available, Columbus would probably have interest. The price would have to be right, and we'd probably get out-bid by a current contender looking to jettison the future.

A package would likely have to include Laine, and could probably include one or a couple of Johnson, Chinakhov, Texier, or Boqvist. If we land Levshunov at the draft, Jiricek could theoretically be on the table, but a Laine + Jiricek/Johnson deal might get to the point where Utah adds.

Why wouldn't they? This is the age range, and type of player they need in the top 6. As long as we aren't parting with seider, ray, larkin, simon, cossa, can't see how it hurts the team.

My issue is, you’ve got Raymond/Debrincat at wings with potential of resigning Kane, one of Fabbri or Berggren, and Rasmussen. Keller would probably be #2 in that group and would be a great addition.

… And then I see RHD as Seider/Petry/Holl. I’d rather throw the assets it’d take to get Keller at somebody like Andersson.

It’s not really anything against Keller, we just have an absurd need at RHD and ASP is probably still 2 more years away.

After seeing the way we handled Berggren, you know as well as I do we're not running with three 21 and under rookies next season lol. (Technically four if you count Edvinsson)

I don't mind the Roy idea but realistically unless we're trading a mid round pick to get early access, it's no guarantee we get him.

Also the glaring issue I see with that forward lineup is Raymond/Debrincat/Kane/Keller is a tiny group of Top 6 wingers. Raymond would be the biggest of the group.
