I really don't like the idea of trading Miller in conference. I feel like that'll come back to bite us. Other than that, good stuff, I'd totally be on board with bringing back Jagr for a year while we have some cap. He could really be lethal on the PP

Why trade Miller to get Jagr when you can keep Miller and buyout Stall if were already going to keep 1.7. I think this would be a bad move.

Wait, so first of all that gets Trochek. I disagree. I don't think this is enough for Trochek.

But then you move out an experienced D for those picks ... but wait, this trade involves a young top 6 forward. Miller could get more than that in my opinion.

You are not even a Rangers fan, are you?
"experienced D" lmao. Marc Staal is not a NHL level hockey player anymore and is signed for 4 years. if the Rangers ever want to get rid of him, they will have to pay.

Feel like Miller and Gropp would flip flop in trades

Staal doesn't waive his NMC for Carolina. Not in this world.

That doesn't get you Trocheck, and you just gave away Miller in order to get rid of Staal? Way too much!

He's still an NHL d-man, just a poor one. He could be a third pair guy on lots of teams that have no d depth (Girardi just signed a deal, did you hear? lol). It's when AV runs him out for big minutes/mismatches and you add in his horrible contract that you start getting sick.
