I'd prefer Jones and Mrazek over Norris and Forsberg and a late 1st isn't enough to change my mind. I did pause and think about it though. For all the crap us Chicago fans give Jones and his inflated salary, he's actually playing pretty well since pulling his head out of his ( ! )

I actually like Seth Jones too, his deal is massive but Sens are desperate for a RD who isn't a push over. Is there anything realistic we could add for you to pull the trigger?

On paper I like this team I just feel like the bottom 6 is seriously lacking some scoring.

Seth Jones declines, Canada isn't on his list of preferred trade destinations.

And no reason for the Hawks to trade Mrazek after just extending him another 2 years.

I prioritized the 3rd pair over the bottom 6 but if you don’t acquire Middleton and put Kleven there you’d have money to upgrade the spot Beckman is in

Maybe Jarventie can fill that Beckman spot eventually haha.

Hawks decline. They aren't looking to trade Jones. But trading him leaves a much larger hole in the lineup than any positive impact Norris might have -assuming he's healthy enough to even play. Mrazak for Forsberg? Another downgrade. A late 1st in a weak draft? Not close to getting this done.

With Murphy and Zaitsev (soon to be UFA) as our only other full time RD and Rinzel still 2-4 years away I think KD wouldn't entertain offers unless it's a sick overpayment. Maybe if somehow Chicago scores another top 5 pick in this draft and selects Levshunov but that's a pipe dream. Most likely as Mo pointed out Jones probably doesn't waive to a Canadian team. Bowman handed out NMC's like Diddy handed out roofies.

I feel like we could get more for Pagar at 50% (ish) retained. If we do trade Pager to Ottawa, i think swapping him out for Hamonic makes so much sense for both sides but Ottawa fans have shut down almost all Pager trades so probably not

I don’t mind Pageau at 3 mill . His numbers have not been great this year at either end so I don’t even know if he’d still be a good 3C at this stage but even 3RW or 4C is acceptable at 3 mill or less

Yea he isn't good enough to be a center. Shame he is such an exciting player. Does all the little things and plays with an edge and not to mention how he plays in the playoffs

I’d try him at 3RW tbh

Yea, pointless to make him the 4C. My ideal 3C would be Greig that slapper vs the Leafs had me lmaoing so hard

Greig is literally Pageau / Leafs Hyman (2.0) . Gonna be an excellent 2 way player who kills penalties

Minnesota would be in after July 1 with an agreeable extension in place, so make it a 2025 2nd

For the Wild trade I'd rather have it be one of their LD prospects over Beckman. Mainly because they have too many same age LD prospects.

I'd take the trade as is though, barring injury MN can flip Chychrun for a similar return at the TDL if needed ,so they wouldn't be out anything.

That’s a terrible trade for Wsh, obviously they decline.

Mike Reilly is a more than suitable LD3. I think we've had this convo before. I'd much rather him on a cheap $1-2m deal. Not sure Branny works here. If the Isles trade JGP they're gonna want his full cap off the books or a Chychrun type deal where we add a pick or two

Make it a conditional 2025 2nd and the Wild accept.
