Would be comfortable giving up Lilly, Robertson, Minten, and a 3rd, probably not enough though

Would Liljegren + this years first work? Van could throw a third back if that would be wanted. My one issue with Toronto is how would they make it work cap wise

I would easily do Lily and a 1st.

I would say Lily + 1st + one other smaller piece (prospect not named Minen, Cowan or Niemela).

The cap works for sure. They just couldn't resign Bert.

It doesn’t make sense for Buffalo to pursue another expensive defender. They already have more puck movers than they can use.

I figured that because they have a ton of D but I was curious if they wanted a RHD.

Plus, we need a “shut down” type & not another offensive defenseman
Sabres would have zero interest imo as well

          Good player though
          Someone will want him

Anaheim would be in on him. Edmonton's 1st, Helleson, and pick 65.

This is really tough, I just need to know a good scouting report on Hronek before i'd be willing to make an offer.

Seems a bit light. We acquired him for 17+42, I don't think Helleson covers the difference between those picks. Especially to a pacific division rival.

You'd also be loosing him because you can't, or won't pay him. What VAN paid for him is irrelevant, they got a lot of value from 1.5 seasons on that contract. Only thing that matters in this instance is which team puts together the most compelling offer. Or you can QO him for a year and he walks for nothing.

I don't see NSH being in the running for him. Hronek wouldn't get utilized enough to justify whatever he wants on his next contract, plus what trading for him would cost in assets, when the Preds already have Josi.

Buffalo declines, unless 1 of Sammy, Joki or Clifton is going the other way.

I personally wouldn't deal Lilly because the Leafs only have so much cap space... You need to balance out the cap with cheaper - but still very effective players like Lilly

          However, I would do Marner+3rd for Hronek+Boeser (with retention)+this year's 1rst

          (Comp: Matt Tkachuk trade)

That deal wouldn’t work for the Canucks, especially with retention on Boeser. Makes our cap situation for next year very tough

Retention on Marner and Boeser from 3rd team... Makes Mitch's cap hit 5.4 mill next year...

          We’d have NO INTEREST, period
          Just bc he’s a RD, doesn’t mean he’s a “fit”
We don’t need another “offensive” defenseman
Especially not one w a big cap hit

          ZERO CHANCE
