i dont really see the stamkos signing as being that realistic, but the other moves here are decent... at least close enough that I wouldn't call them deal breakers.

Joker has been pretty steady this year, a bit rough lately. But they've been switching combo's up since Byram came here. IMO if I am waiting for that 2nd till 2025, think I would want Dallas's 4th this year to.

Think the value is ok for Joker but I don't think the Sabres want picks. Andrew Copp would probably interest Buffalo. Even if it's not a 1 for 1 swap.

I don't hate it, but I also don't see the need for the Holl/Maatta moves. Just keep Maatta and throw Chiarot on the RHD.

Honestly don't see Stamkos leaving Tampa but until he signs I consider him free game. I see a team paying him 7M, maybe more. That's about all I could pay him here though unless I don't upgrade other areas of the roster.

I see it as an offseason move and not really a draft move but the ask is not ridiculous.

Now that type of request might give most red Wings fans a hard on. I value Copp now than most as a defensive centre. I also think he will be very valuable when we finally bring up Kasper and Danielson to work as a mentor and insulator for them.
I have been saying for over a year now that I think Buffalo needs a good defensive centre who can win draws. I always pointed at Pageau but I'm not sure how his play has been this year.

Cap space really. I really like Sturm, ever since his Minnesota days. He's one of the best in the league at face-offs and his play away from the puck is really good. Burroughs as well is a player I don't mind. I wouldn't say he's a great defenseman but he brings that physical/ nasty element this team lacks. He also costs the same as the Holl buyout but gives a little more cap flexibility since we could put him on waivers if he doesn't work out.
I could have not traded for Joker and kept Maatta but I think he's a pretty good player who is improving and is young enough to be a part of this core.
Basically I wanted to upgrade other parts of the roster while still giving Stamkos a competitive contract offer, even though I think he gets more.

If the Sabres were to trade Jokiharju,
my opinion is that we’d either wanna package him to upgrade at RD or get a good 2way 3C

We could easily just sign & keep him though too
