Pens definitely decline. The ONLY scenario the Canucks win a Guentzel trade is by getting to the SCF.

mikheyev would have had to submit his no trade list back in july. unlikely he would have had the forsight to know vancouver would be the number 1 team in the league and pttsburgh would be sellers

RE: I don't think Guentzel is going to become an all-time rental trade deal. Pitt won't give any team the right to negotiate an extension before a deal. That's a huge risk to any team making the deal.

He's a 1st, 2nd, good prospect all day. All the comments of it will take more or out to lunch. If I'm wrong, so be it. But, he's not gonna blow up the rental market norm imo.

Yup. Huge risk. Pens seek more, doubt it will ever happen. Rental values are pretty known.

Gotcha. I don't know that the Canucks part with two early picks and two of their top prospects. We'll see what happens soon though. Rutherford and Co seem like they have completely flipped are all in now.
