That's enough to get talks started but Hanifin is worth more than just Lohrei and it'll cost more than a 2nd to cover the difference plus have Calgary take on Grzelcyk and retain on Hanifin. Add Poitras (with conditions on recovery from surgery) or a 1st and it's a deal.

Hanifin will of course come with an 8 year extension in place.

its the bruins 1st in 2025 and Mason Lohrei for Hanifin,and you guys keep Grzelcyk for your 3rd pair, and your playoff run. but Hanifin is the perfect guy to upgrade that bruin d.he goes home and signs for 7.5 mil times 8 yrs.

Your offer is a strawman argument based on half truths and a lot of BS distorting the actual facts. I already asked you to find a comparable defenseman of the same age in the last 20 years. Just one. The best you could come up with Hampus Lindholm who was a bit older, not quite as valuable and fetched a better return than you're suggesting here.
