I think Carolina needs to add a first round pick, two good prospects, and a couple late round picks to make this realistic.

Marky is a top end legit starting goalie,the canes or devils offer a 1st for him,or conroy doesnt ask him to waive.

Nobody cares what you think he's worth. Calgary won't be trading Markstrom unless they get a really good offer. There's no plan to move him, they don't have to move him at all. Conroy won't even ask him if he'd waive for a team unless they get a really good offer not for lowball offer some other team's fan wishes is all it'd take.
