Why would the Canucks trade away 3 solid roster players for scraps, including a player we already traded away?

Good point. Should have remembered that Beauvillier was already on the Canucks and and was traded away. In my own defense though, Rick Tocchet is scratching Kuzmenko a lot and I just wanted another good winger to play with Bedard.

Yeah I don't see Van doing this trade. The Hawks are fairly high on Entwistle, Guttman, and Phillips but the first two are bottom six guys and Phillips is a third pair guy. Both Höglander and Kuzmenko are top six guys.
