More depth rather than big splash

Initial Creation Date: Jan. 19, 2024
Published: Jan. 19, 2024
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Laughton and Seeler might not be worth a first plus a good prospect but Laughton is currently a Ross Colton like player who plays a very physical game but currently having a horrible year in the shooting department 5 percent lower than his career average. He PKs and is 50 percent on the dot for 1.5mil he’d be a wonderful bottom sixer to add for 2 additional years after this run

Landy probably won’t be back so Cogliano would slot back into that 4LW spot but this would be a pretty damn good squad if Landy was backp

Doubt the Hawks would take Ryjo during the season this year for less than a 2nd. In the off season for next year a 3rd might do it.

3 point off from a guy the Hawks gave 2x4.25m. And a point more than another guy the hawks gave 2x4.5m. Not far off the possibility RoJa gets a pick back in return.

Flyers would probably take that honestly, seems like a good trade for both teams, they’d maybe prefer a 3rd over Ranta

Very, very far off Hawks give up anything for him.

Honestly this team needs to address goal tending. Georgiev is having a career worst year in terms of QS% and GSAA, and Prosvetov just isn’t an NHL goalie.

We really aren’t in any sort of position to upgrade the position. Best case scenario is MAF

That is a truly terrible take on your part. Points aren't the only measure of a players value. Foligno and Dickinson are part of the leadership group in Chicago and earned their extensions through their play on the ice and what they bring in the room. They are both good defensive forwards, both play a physical style and both will drop the gloves when necessary. Ryjo doesn't bring any of that. Nashville retained half his salary to get rid of him. Av's want to move him because he's not a good fit there. Ryjo is nothing but a cap dump from the Hawks perspective. There is absolutely no chance the Hawks give up a pick to get him.

Keep in mind Ryan is 3 points off playing for a vastly superior team. Realistically he would not be as productive on the Hawks team , where he would have offensively inferior line mates.

It would kill me to lose Laughts, but this seems like something the Flyers would consider.
