    Brutal return for Lindholm

Flames aren't touching that Campbell contract with a 10 foot pole

Weak return for Hanifin, Kravtsov has no value

Given what his position would be with the canes it's a pretty fair return if you swap the second for the first

How does the position Carolina chooses to have him play have any bearing on his value? Just because Carolina doesn't feel the need to spend for a top 6 center doesn't mean other teams won't. If Carolina were to want Lindholm it will cost just as much as any other team would have to pay

I'm not saying that it has bearing on his value but that's right on value for a 2C... and I think that's about as much as your going to get for Lindholm... he's not going to get you a very good return considering he's been sub .8 ppg since the beginning of last year and he wants $8m+

Sure if that's your definition of him but it's not a good one. Lindholm is a 1C. He's not a franchise center but he's no less a 1C than Couturier or prime ROR. He's shown what he can do when he has support on his wings and if he ends up in Boston or Minny between the likes of Pasta or Kaprizov he will do it again.

He might be a 1C but my problem with giving up a lot for Lindholm is he needs somebody to elevate his talent unlike a player like Sebastian Aho, Jack Eichel or Brayden Point who elevates others talents to allow them to produce. I think you should only give up a lot if it's somebody who's going to raise the abilities of others.

You mention Aho like he belongs in the same category as those other 2.

Eichel and Point are franchise centers that can change the course of a game on their own. Aho is a good 2-way center but he does not have that ability. He is a step above Lindholm but not by much. Aho would have his game elevated quite a lot playing with wingers who are better than him. And as for Lindholm he absolutely does raise the talents of the players who play with him. Dube and Toffoli had career years last year playing on his wing. And Since being moved to Lindholm's line on November 20th Sharangovich has put up 13 points in 15 games. That's a 71 point pace. I am not at all saying he will keep that pace because I don't think he will keep scoring at his current shooting percentage, but my point is Lindholm absolutely does elevate the play of the guys around him.
