Description
A desirous need for both teams LA falling off the map needs an offensive catalyst meanwhile the leafs need a shutdown D on the right handed side I hope the value is somewhat even IMO hindsight is 50/50 chiasson a solid young forward and Streit old but can still put up points on bottom pairing

I don't think Doughty's getting traded.

I agree that the Kings, who are likely finish out again wouldn't trade Doughty. I doubt the Leafs make the trade either. First the cap hit is considerable, which the Leafs may not be able to afford. Doughty is two year rental. The Leafs "winning it all" window is probably longer than two years. Do the Leafs really want to trade for Doughty for 7 years of Zaitsev certainty and 5 years of Nylander control? I doubt it. Plus NMC Brown...a considerable drain on the cap.

And on personal note: Can't Doughty be traded to another team besides the Leafs? There are other teams with young studs too, but I have never seen a trade with the Sabres, Jets, Canes, Flames, Lightning.

I agree with you on this, because I have never made an AGM where I've traded Doughty. But when other Kings fans do it, I still love seeing Toronto fans get worked up about it.
