I don't understand the trades. Leafs seem to going for it with Hainsey and Marleau (overpayment) signings. And you think it's necessary to trade NHLers for distant picks. Komarov is needed, I can't imagine the Leafs wanting to Rychel and Leivo guaranteed a spot at LW. And there is absolutely no depth at centre if Fehr /Smith is traded.
But again this seems to be Leaf fan thoughts....Absolutely have to trade upcoming UFAs...the only team in the league than has too.

Rychel does what komarov does but better, talk to me when you watch a marlies game some time. I watched all 77. Gauthier will assume 4th line role once healthy and miro aaltonen can play C as well. I would rather get assets in deep drafts to create cap space to sign core people than lose them for nothing. Maybe keeping komarov would be a good idea, we have so many forwards who need an opportunity to play.

Muraco: Little you know about the Marlies. I attend the Marlies games. Try going to a game once in a while if you can afford it. Rychel has not shown he is an NHLer at all. Leafs seem to going "all in" with this foolish Marleau signing, and now you want the team peppered with AHLers. Good luck to Rychel and Leaf fans (I'm one) if Rychel is an NHL. But his speed and mobility makes him iffy at best to have be an NHLer.
