TML 17

Initial Creation Date: Jul. 3, 2017
Published: Jul. 3, 2017
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
This is with Nylander, brown and Hyman on new deals. Slight tweak to the D that I don't think is unrealistic. I see Nylander coming in around this cap hit though. Maybe brown and Hyman are a little low? Thoughts?

I'd say hyman and brown contracts are the right value. Not sure about willy I would love it if he signs a 7 year deal at that term but I think willy want more given the season he just had. I guess this season will be a big one seeing the kind of numbers he puts up. The salary cap is starting to worry me. But if willy is putting up lets say 60-70 points a year as a 21 year old than im thinking he's at least going to want 7.5 plus. We will see. I like the miller deal to, although I wouldn't mind throwing a different prospect in there other than brooks, I would want to see brooks play 1 season in the AHL just to see what he's made of before we trade him.

You do realize that any extension for Nylander wouldn't kick in until 2018/19!

Nylander sees his 61 points in rookie season and compares it to Marleau getting 6.25m after getting 46 points in each of last two years. I think Marner, Nylander, Matthews and Gardiner will be thinking.....lets go to free agency as soon as possible, no way am I signing long term.
