Tanev I thought for sure but Brad seems to want to make sure he aint gonna overpay which is smart. If CGY is asking for a 2nd for Tanev I wonder rather than a pick you use a player but thats just me.


In the end if they can make a nice deal to add 1-2 nice Dman and then make a small deal (5th to 7th) to add a 4th line RW vet I like their chances.

Not sure how many of you guys are avid Marlies viewers, but Topi Niemela has been unbelievablely good this season. This kid is legit, and I feel like the hype for him has fizzled out over the last year. IMO, he is our best prospect at the moment and could push for a roster spot next year. He's such a breath of fresh air and I will be very upset if he's moved. Haven't felt this way about a Leafs defense prospect since Durzi.

Steeves is also so slept on. Get him on the roster over McMann

TBH, I'd like to see the Leafs try to fish out Zub and Chychrun in one deal... And Obviously try to fleece OTT in the process:

This sounds great in theory but why in the world would Ottawa do it? Chychrun by himself is already a major stretch since Ottawa has no reason to trade him (if they did, especially to a divisional rival, it would have to be a big overpay), to think they will throw in Zub is ridiculous. And even if by some miracle they did, it would be an enormous package and Lili would 100% be involved.

Doubt Brodie would get the oddman out treatment over Gio

And as mentioned before why would OTT help a rival lul

Niemela's emergence to me is making Timmins more and more expendable in a trade. As if Niemela could challange for a spot in 2025 or 2026 we can move on from a guy like that and be fine. Moving him in a deal to get Adam Larsson would be perfect

As once healthy hes probs the oddman out anyways
