Bad idea imo... Especially if Scheif and Helle decide to bounce, the current core doesn't have what it takes. Sell your expiring players and retool.

Pens decline IMo. Blomquist is good but he isn't quite ready for an NHL job. Maybe in a season or two. Plus the Pens are taking on double the cap of Ned, so it may be difficult for PIT to be cap compliant

Didn't read the retaining part, that's my bad. But I'm not sure if Pittsburgh would like to rush Blomquist, I think they would like to develop him another year or two until playing him in the nhl

Probably is a bad idea, just a guess at what they're going to do, think there's a Hellebuyck extension in the works, not sure about Scheifele though.

PIT don't need more Dmen. Blomqvist isnt better than Ned yet. Kid is still 2 yrs away from NHL.
