It would be hard to say no to that - especially when Mailloux and Reinbacher looked so damn good at camp!

Looking at what a guy like Nils Lundkvist got, who was basically in the same situation as Barron in terms of career, I think MTL can get a little bit more. Not bad though

MTL is in no rush to trade away Barron since he is a 21 y.o. player still waivers exempted.

2x2nd isn't enticing since they already have 6 picks in the first two rounds of 2024 and 2025.

People are ready to get rid of a hi potential prospect just because to got excited watching Mailloux for 2 off season games....

It's a bit premature to trade him since he's only 21, but I went to a couple MTL preseason games and I think he has regressed since the end of last season.
Got caught puck watching in the D zone a few times and, sadly, wasn't able to keep the offense going at the blueline. It seemed too fast for him.
Hope he can turn this around. He is the main asset we got back for Lehkonen after all.

I still prefer a fan base excited about preseason games than one jumping in the bandwagon midplayoffs...

As a Habs fan, I would say yes to that trade offer.

Hopefully, GM Hughes can start packagind up a few picks for a higher pick, like a 1st, 2nd and 3rd for 10 more spots in the first round.
Habs have way too many draft picks, and not enough quality draft picks.

Doesnt make sense for the jets to give away two 2nds (that MTL one could be really good) for a dman, when they dont have enough room for their own, unless they wanna throw him in the AHL for the year but that doesnt make sense IMO
