Not claiming that Dvorak is a crazy good/valuable prospect. But the Kings won't trade the guy they just picked, simply because of the fact that they have no other LD in the pipeline that are actual prospects.

I don't think retention on Ullmark is a possibility given he's got another year on that deal.

Gryzlcyk isn't worth a first, probably a second. Therefore Toronto won't trade a guy they just drafted in the first round

If Ullmark isn't playing well enough to drag the Bruins into the playoffs, then the Kings won't be willing to give up this haul for him.

They won’t do the trade, but Easton was considered a 3rd round player before the draft.

I do believe we should get a 3rd for Grz or just let him play it out / leave for more money next year as a free agent.

I view any pick past 60 as kind of like lottery ticket with a limited payout. You don’t expect to win, but the more you play … the better your chance of eventually winning.

If Boston is retaining 5m over 2 years, they are getting a lot more than that.

If LA’s goalies suck, I could see a Arvidssen, Pinelli, and Talbott for Ullmark type deal. I could also see a scenario where Boston retains a minimum salary slot to help LA’s cap situation on Ullmark. The whole point of that deal would be to secure Pinelli. They’d let Arvidssen and Talbott go next year

Leafs don't really have the cap for 1.1m Timmins never mind 1.8m Grelcyk. Certainly wouldn't be giving up a first for him either.

My assumption is if Ullmark is playing well this year, they won’t trade him and will simply ride the pair of goalies to the playoffs. Hopefully, they rotate them to keep them fresh once they get there.

The unfortunate part of that is as an expiring, my guess is he will be worth less than he would be under normal circumstances considering his age and the potential for an extension.

Toronto's already rocking a 21-man roster, no way they will be able to take on any cap at the deadline (unless someone else is moved).

I agree. I believe a Kings deadline deal for Ullmark is unlikely. If he's playing well, Boston won't want to move him. If he's not playing well, the Kings won't want to trade for him.
