-RNH isn't being traded. The love him in EDM and he took a discount to stay there

-Miller is due $8 million till he's 37yr old. He plays a heavier hitting game and its going to take a toll on his body quickly.

-Scheifele just isn't a guy I want anywhere near the Bruins. Poor in the dot, doesn't play defense and is part of the leadership problem in WPG.

-Lindholm is the only name that makes sense for Boston and it now sounds like he's open to staying with CGY. He also wants around $9 million a season on his next deal.

I feel like Scheifele gets bad rep unnecessarily alot nowadays, I mean he's a real offensive dynamo with an excellent shot.
His defensive game is fairly bad, maybe that can change though because it has been better in the past.
But to be blunt, a good shutdown game isn't really his role. And he actually is blocking some shots and he's far from a giveaway machine.
When it comes to locker room issues, I don't really give that too much credit.

Btw, if Lindholm plays like the 21/22 season, he's definitely worth 9 million per.

Unlikely to be available and established as high end prior to that. Kind of a unicorn to be able to acquire a borderline 1c or better in their true prime.

Traditionnally, it cost a good prospect + high draft pick (1st and 2nd round picks) to get these kind of player that you listed (You can also argue that they could be on the decline, like Sagecoll said).

Alas, BOS doesnt really have any of these 2 things:

- Their prospect pool is really shallow. Apart from Lysell and a small handful of other guys, there's not much value there. But that's to be expected when you had a long Stanley Cup window like BOS had.
- With only 5 picks in the first 3 round for the next (None in 2024), there is not much there too. The question that BOS management have to ask themselves is: "Do we wanna trade our 2025 1st round pick, and chase a rapidly-closing SC window, or garnish our prospect pool a bit so that, when we enter a rebuild phase, it'll be less rough?"

Realistically, I think BOS have to give one of their high-value player to receive one of these guys (Maybe Carlo? Maybe DeBrusk? Maybe Ullmark?)

One way or another, BOS futures doesn't look all that good for the next few years.

Over the last 3 years among centers with 100GP he ranks 17th in most giveaways. You can not give credit to the locker room issues, but the reality is he has worn the "A" for WPG 7yrs. His buddy Blake Wheeler was stripped of his "C" and then bought out a year later. Laine wanted out and said he was poorly treated by leaders in the room. PLD wanted out and refused to re-sign. Helly doesn't want to return to WPG. Why is the WPG's best players all want to get away from the franchise? Even Maurice resigned from the team and all he did was get hired by FLA and coach the Panthers to a Cup Final this past season.

Miller to Boston probably would require Carlo ++ for him, but even then Canucks can't really move him. They want to compete so they need a 2C so unless they get a package of Zacha + Carlo + something I doubt they'd even consider it.

It also could be a 3 team trade to get VAN a good young centre back

What do you expect?
These are the types of players Boston would be targeting.
At their age and stage of their careers because they fit Boston's timeline and championship window.
Boston is not a young team, why would they be targeting young players?

There are like 5 people on this roster under the age of 26.

First off, I've been comparing Scheifeles takeaway/giveaway stats to some of the best centers in the league. Among those who's got more giveaways than Scheifele over the last 3 seasons are:
McDavid
Matthews
JT Miller
Draisaitl
MacKinnon
Zibanejad
So there's that, haven't made many more comparisons as of yet, but I would be interested in seeing the list you had.
Regarding locker room issues, sure Laine was kind of vocal on why he wanted out. But Dubois/Hellebuyck has not said anything about that, and to claim that those two would want to be traded because of Scheifele is pure speculation.
Maurice had been there for quite a number years, and since the teams results didn't really improve but rather decline from the 17/18 season and onward, that might have been part of the reason he chose to leave. He said himself that he felt the team needed a new voice.

The list isn't hard to find if you go to NHL.com. I also never said that PLD & Helly wanted to leave because of Scheifele. So I'm not claiming what you say I am. I simply said all of WPG best players wanted out and asked why they want to get away from the franchise. It's a fair question honestly. As for Maurice, him saying they need a new voice is being gracious on the way out.

Well okay, I'm sorry if I misinterpreted what you were saying, thought that you alluded to locker room and leadership issues as the reason for PLD/Helle/Maurice.
From what I understand the city itself and the weather is why so allegedly few wants to play there, atleast that's what people on here are saying.
Maurices comments might have been gracious in leaving, or they were genuine. Can't really know for sure.
