TO declines, Nylander is signing in TO. The only way you'll get him is by offering an insane amount for him and working out an extension for 10 million a season or more.

If the Leafs cannot extend Nylander - this would be the entry for what I would hope they get.

1st (I assume protection), 2nd, 3rd, BIG D prospect with bottom pair potential, NHL ready forward prospect with top 6 potential. Leafs get a lot of cap space in this also, to upgrade at D.

I wouldn't love it but the package is fair.

I agree I would personally want better pieces than Bolduc and Wahlstrom. But to say that "Toronto Laughs" at this, is outrageous. They probably don't accept but it isn't a mock worthy trade proposal. There are enough of those floating around.

Other teams easily beat this proposal. If Carolina wasn’t cheap with extensions, they could probably trade for Nylander with better assets

As much as you wouldn’t want Anders Lee, Barry Trotz loves aging vets. He’s already signed oreilly and schenn and if Lou made Lee available, even though the NSH fans would hate it, Barry would 100% go after Lee.

That’s what I was going for here. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Bolduc is puck moving somewhat so we would probably send Salo or O’dellius if you want a sizely D-man and wahlstrom is a 23 year old top 6 potential forward. Obviously, other teams could potentially beat this offer given their prospect pools but I don’t see how this offer is “laughable” at all.

No, he wouldn't. He brought in Schenn and ROR cause they've both won cups. We needed leaders in the room. We're full on vets now, no need for Lee.
