Olofsson isn’t worth that…

I don't see a fit for Stillman on this team any more. If Tinordi wasn't on the roster then maybe but those two open LD spots are earmarked for Vlasic and Phillips/Roos.

@Kevo
Buffalo needs Defensemen.
When their defensmen were out due to unjuries or played injured the Sabres had two long losing streaks.
Keep both Stillman and Lyubushkin, the 6th and 7th round draft picks will not help them make the playoffs this year.
While it is tempting for only a second, Buffalo has Savoie, Kulich, Rosen, Ostlund, etc waiting in the wings and does not need Lafrenière.

Olofsson isn’t worth that…If DeBrincat who scored 27 goals last year with a -31 and a $7,875,000 AVV this year can return an early first and a 20 goal forward, Olofsson's 28 goals with a -23 and $2,750,000 (one third of Alex) is worth a late first.

Giving away Stillman and Lyubushkin for nothing essentially is pretty stupid. They didn’t just trade a decent prospect to get Stillman just to give him away for a late draft pick. I would think if you could get Juuse Saros at that price, the trade would already have been made. But that one I’d do.

That package isn't getting you Saros. Saros is a top 5 goalie in the league and is on a steal of a contract right now that still has term left. He will likely get paid a similar contract to the one Sorokin just signed earlier this off-season. On top of that Lebrun reported a few weeks ago that Saros is likely going to stay put. This means NSH will have a 1A-1B thing with Saros and Askarov in a couple of years.

If you want Saros that badly you have to blow Tortz away with an offer. Something like taking the current package and putting Ostlund on top of that. There aren't really comps to a Saros trade because it doesn't happen, and NSH is perfectly content to hang onto Saros because trading Saros means full rebuild for NSH, not just a retool

This...

Saros isn't going anywhere with Trotz's latest moves. The Re-build/Re-Tool is over and the goal is to make the playoffs this season.
