Team: 2023-24 Pittsburgh Penguins
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 9, 2023
Published: Jul. 9, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
If EK65 wanted to go to Carolina, that deal would have been made by now. I feel like it's Pittsburgh or no one for how long this has dragged out.
Also, SJ is not looking to compete this year, they're still looking to tank for a high pick again next year.

So your thought is that Hawks want a Petry with an $8.25M cap hit??? Then 2 more years of $2M???

Petry isn't waiving for Chicago, And San Jose isn't retaining $3,000,000 on Karlsson for that joke of an offer either.

I’m sorry, what’s the benefit here for Chicago?

Why? Chi is closer to Det than Pit.

Petry wants to live as close to Michigan as possible since that’s where he lives. Half of his NTC is Canada and SJ. I’d assume the other 6 teams would be Anaheim, Arizona, and 4 other teams farther away from his home.

There is none. Pittsburgh should be giving up the 2024 2nd to Chicago and maybe a prospect like Legare on top of the 5th rounder. The 2nd for the retention and the 5th plus Legare for taking Petry.
