I would be very surprised if Jeannot signed a deal like that. He's worth a lot more than that. Would like to see GM's start using the offer sheet again.

Hawks don’t need Tampa’s AHLers, they have enough of their own. A 6th and 7th round picks aren’t anywhere close enough of an inducement to get that deal done.

CHI declines. But, if I were OEL, I would do that. He is already getting paid from the buyout. So, anything extra is just double dipping. This way he gets to go to a good playoff team, have a chance to compete for a cup, and earn his next contract.
