Agreed. Potential Owen Tippett type of scenario, he's just a bit younger than he was when he got traded.

Difference was Newhook was traded for futures himself, not for a veteran.

Those 2 late picks will be lucky if they ever become full time NHL players, let alone quality ones. Makes sense for Montreal for sure

Newhook also seems too be a lot more highly thought of than Tippett at time of trades.

But yea same gist.

Sad how Fletcher's best/smartest traded ended up being the one trading away the last bit of my childhood
