Some good ol' "Hockey Trades". I don't know if Garland is the Caps' kind of player but it could work.

Heh. If you removed Parayko, the Blues would still pass.

Yeah blues decline. We are good on wingers and not really interested in Bear as a replacement for Parayko

It saves the organization a lot of money in the long run. Owners might like this trade.

Like the "hockey trade" ideas. I wonder if the Ellis/Myers deal would work. That's an expensive D though. I think realistically it would be Dumba or Parayko but not both.

Comcast makes billions annually they don’t care. Ellis will be traded for a bad contract but the team will have to pay the Flyers to take the bad contract

Could see something like this, I hope the caps stay away from Garland. We already have too many middle 6 guys

You think that because they are billionaires they don't care about saving $24 million? That makes no sense. One year of a high cap hit on a non competitive team is worth it. Myers can be flipped at the TDL. Canucks get the cap space. Both teams win. Not saying its a sure thing but there's a logical argument for it.

The argument is there but they will find a different team to do this deal with if VAN doesn’t want to give a pick to move Myers. Someone will happily pay to cap dump a player or two and take Ellis back as an LTIR move.

So you don't think the flyers would have to pay to dump Ellis salary on another team?

Doesn't Miller have a no move clause? 🤔 Or does that not kick in until later?

Why would the Flyers have to pay to dump a contract that is injured insured? So the team more than likely isn’t paying most the majority of it in real dollars and whichever team gets the contract gets cap space. I mean just look at any reporter that has talked about the connection of Myers and Ellis they all say that VAN would still need to pay to dump it. It’s just common sense idk what else to tell you if you don’t understand it lol

Well if you look at the recent example of Weber who was traded twice while on LTIR, both teams had to pay to move his contract. Idk what else to tell you if you don't understand it.

Lol you mean Shea Weber for an AHL player and Shea Weber for Dadonov that MTL flipped for assets? So in the most recent trade they paid to dump Weber because the team took nothing back. And the Dadonov trade they swapped contracts because they could flip him for assets. And in this scenario the Flyers they would get Myers who is barley a 3rd pairing guy that costs $6M in cap and give VAN $6M in cap relief and you don’t think they have to pay Philly for that? 😂😂😂😂

Yeah, I mean where a pick was paid or a cap dump was received to dump Weber's contract. Pretty basic bud. One year of Myers, who is tradeable like Dadonov which is your own argument, is not a lot to ask for a $24 million dollar bill. Myers was just integral to Canada winning the World Cup as a top 2 defender in terms of ice-time. He still has game, is big, plays the right side. Stop being so silly.

Sure bud it’s only national and local reporters that are saying what the trade would look like but it’s all of them and me ghat are wrong and you that are right 😂 keep thinking that bud
