I'm not too interested in two years of Marner but I'd take that deal.

No team is taking on Matt Murray for free, Give us the Boston 28th overall pick and it's a deal.

Trying to balance the skill with the truculence on the back end, but I get what you are saying.

Yeah..... Risto might be a gamble, but he is pretty damn tough, and can certainly move the puck.

Soucy is a steady 3rd paring guy who can move up the line up.

Simply bodies to move bodies and see if that fares better.

Murray isn't that bad. But, would entertain a pick flip for the 1st.

68 and 84OA from NSH for Murray, and 28OA?

Basically 28 + Murray for van 2nd is the correct deal

No he's good when he's healthy, The bad thing is that he's not healthy 80% of the time.

Since the Leafs have no picks..... I would do that.

They have picked up some solid players in the mid rounds lol.

    Well, that's a given lol.

Thing is the Wings have a lot of ground to make up to reach basement. That team is so damn young.....

Yzerman isn't likely to be going into the UFA market for goaltending, simply based on what is there - it's term and money for aging players, of Aiden Hill who also has injury issues.

NSH can retain half on Murray, and get a couple mid round picks back from a team desperate for goaltending. If there aren't any takers for him, buying him out isn't very onerous. Or he can be the AHL's most expensive backup goalie for a year.

    That's an option.

But I chose the Wings because of the lineup I think they ice. They currently short $7 million from the floor. They are going to dress the kids, and won't be looking to add term or money imo. Short term options to get them over that Hump.

Probably, but throwing deadline offer may do it.
