That's a big no for the blues. We won't have the cap to sign Nylander and Snuggeruud is our best prospect. If Snuggeruud is going to be traded it will be for a young top 4 defensemen already and has the potential to become a top pairing defensemen

Unless Nylander is coming back, Toffoli isn’t going anywhere’s and the Flames have zero interest in Hirvonen as a Prospect either

I like Nylander a lot. Blues really aren't in a position to be trading a guy like Snuggerud for a guy like Nylander who might 28 or 29 by the time this team is playoff competitive again. Just artificially shrinking whatever window they might have in a couple years by bringing in players who will be on the tail end of their prime and will be more expensive than ever.

They want to be relevant now AND in 5 years. They want to be relevant in perpetuity. They don't rebuild, they don't go all in.

If the Blues were willing to trade Snuggerud for immediate help they would have Meier right now. A 1st and Snuggerud would be a more impactful package than San Jose got from New Jersey. They'll pursue being relevant now but only because they have extra picks to burn, not because they're pushing all the chips in on immediate help.

The Blues might be willing to acquire Nylander if you're interested in a 1st and a bunch of random stuff like San Jose got for Meier but I'm guessing you're not interested in that and rightfully so.

Dude, you are not getting a 23 1st and one of the top prospects in hockey for one year of Willy, who we can't afford now anyway.
