I like some of these moves but there are also head scratchers. 3.5x5 for Podz a very rich at this stage. Burying OEL is way worse than buying him out if you want to contend that year capwise. Liljegrin is good, maybe even possible. And the bottom 6 looks very weak. That's where the OEL money could be spent for sure. D core is obviously stronger, though.

I think the bottom 6 is fine, other then Raty maybe not being that 3C. Podz contract is more of a risk in hopes that he develops into a player worth that money, although it could probably be cheaper. Reasoning on OEL buyout is there was nowhere where I felt they needed to spend his cap and if I'm Vancouver I'm trying to wait until you have to buy him out so it doesn't hinder the future as much.

Not interested in delaying our rebuild to help yours... give us proper compensation and we may consider.

I mean, it can be a fourth but my thought process is it’s just a free pick but fair enough

I would think whatever the pick would be, (perhaps it is just a 4th) would need to be in that 24' draft IMO. I do however feel that with CHI being in there 3rd year of the rebuild (from a draft perspective) they could very well want the high pick that year to stick with the process.
