In regards to Wideman, why? CHI has no room for him, and MTL isn't getting anything for him... Just waive him and send him down to the AHL.

Sens aren't giving up that much to pay almost 3M for a goalie with an .891 and 3.55 GAA. obviously those are pretty reflective of the bad team that he's on, but they're simply way too weak of numbers to commit that many resources to

Sharks will say no just because, after Kane, the franchise is wary of possible problem children.

I don’t think we would do this with Logan in the trade.

Karlsson and Severson on the same team isnt improving your defensive play. Ask the Canucks about signing a 3rd pairing dman for longterm at $6mil per.

You may have made their goaltending worse. Broissot is no saviour, Allen may have ptsd from all the pucks hes faced the last few years.
I think you could get Dubois for less than this- even as a UFA in a year- or at the deadline when Winnipeg can see he is serious about leaving and not wanting to lose him for nothing, but I think Caufield will earn more than him (unless he signs a bridge deal- which is becoming rarer).

Someone will offer Tarasenko more than that- I wouldnt be shocked if the Habs go younger up front, for years theyve been saddled with overpaid, oft injured older players- Toews and Tarasenko would be ore of the same.

So add price in the return! He’s done anyways and if he came back sharks could use him anyways.

that might work if they could send price's contract the other way... Not sure it fits with the rebuild though in 2 or 3 years when we are peaking then karlsson will be declining..... more likely he gets traded to a contender who can win the next 2 seasons... makes more sense?

Karlsson is 36 in his final year of this deal, he should still be solid then. He is healthy again and would be a huge bonus to your team, as he ages your kids would be stepping up and he’s been a great playoff guy.
