    Comrie>>>>>>>>>> Korpi

    Is that a joke?

One has a .882 playing behind a team that’s currently in the playoffs per point% with a defense headlined by Dahlin, Power, and Samuelson. The other has a .914 with a better playoff history on the worse team in the league headlined by a defense of …. Gavrikov, Berni, Boqvist and Gudbranson, who are all SUBSTANTIALLY worse all 3 of the buffalo defenders I mentioned

Cbj say no. Korpi could easily fetch a mid round pick (maybe even a third) especially with retention. If Comrie, who is still signed at almost 2m was coming back, cbj should ask for a 2nd to swap the two goalies.

I heard somebody on wgr suggesting korpisalo. I tried following his line of reasoning, that upl is uneven at best, comrie is awful, and you can't ride Anderson for 10 in a row. These are valid points. Where you lose me is- korpisalo isn't good. Remember when the Sabres were tanking, and we paraded out mike Smith and a bunch of dusters, and they all stood on their heads? It's that. Korpisalo has been below .900 for years now, there's no way I'm buying him as an answer.

Korpisalo was an All Star and then hurt his hip in 2020 and tried to rehab it, putting up dreadful numbers in the meantime. He finally had surgery this past offseason and is somehow managing to be league average on one of the worst teams of the past decade. I agree, fourth or fifth round pick at best for him alone, but he is an upgrade over Comrie for Buffalo (who have a competent defense), and Columbus would expect the pick to be moved up a round or two to take Comrie back in exchange. Bump it to a third.
