Though i agree it doesnt work , its entirely possible come Trade Deadline depending on injuries and demand.

Same was said about Plekanec for 2nd round pick and 2 prospects (flipped for Kulak)
Plekanec was having a year so bad i thought they'd terminate him but instead there was no Center's available at the TDL and tons of demand.

MTL did something similar to Eric Staal who had his career worst year before MTL took him for a 2nd and a 4th i believe it was.
It worked out for us despite him producing at the same rate as Plekanec in TML run he was better then Evans who was dispatched pretty early on Wing by WPG leaving us a Winger down but if he woulda been our only Center option we wouldnt have made it as deep as we did all because Staal could endure the abuse Evans or Poehling couldnt

Not saying Eddy gets a 1st guaranteed but with 1 year left and MTL likely RS its likely they will get value though.
It all depends on what type of Trade Deadline it is but the lower his cap goes the more teams that are interested.
I still think he ends up in TBL on a deal that see's MTL paid to take Meyers which would be almost an even cap swap and term swap.

LAK though have the perfect fit with Walker in a Similar position as Eddy and could work in MTL's favor as Eddy>Walker .
But LAK are also looking to move Roy so they could profit off taking Eddy if they play their cards right they'll free up space for Durzi and Brandt behind Doughty with Spence on standby with Grans for RD

Lots of deals that make sense but none with Toronto in my opinion make sense outside Kovacevic who we like as Eddy's replacement a role he's largely filled since he went out on LTIR/IR the different times he was out this year. The only real option i see working is MTL RS on Klingberg in a 3 way deal with TML that see's Klingberg in TML for 3m cap hit in a bundle that i cant even fathom right now , but that would be the closest i'd see to a compatible deal between MTL and TML

I met the Real Darcy Tucker while he was slumming it with our manager as one of her 3-4 boyfriends at the time.
I'd believe he'd say something like this so atleast you're keeping in character lol
