replace Steen + 6th with 4th and Zona should do that but Bjugstad has been on fire this year like his early FLA days, and costs 900k

If Van is taking cap dumps back like Smith a decent prospect like Mast coming back with the picks. Allvin has already refused a 2nd for Schenn.

Smith not having a great year. But is a good player. Veteran leadership and grit would really help the nucks

to play devil's advocate: has anything about how the Canucks have been run this year made you think they would be smart enough to *not* turn down a 2nd for Luke Schenn?

I believe he does get lied to.
No I just don't see Schenn who anyone could have had for a minimum contract when he signed a PTO would be willing to give up that much.

Fair enough. Then I want to know who the GM was who was dumb enough to make the offer and trade with him.

Do you not think GMs lie to "insiders" all the time to promote a narrative they want put out? I believe Allvin said that to Friedman. Quite possibly. However I also believe he'd lie to Friedman in a nanosecond if he thought it would increase a return.

Yeah they do but allvin/rutherford either aren't smart enough for that or deserve oscars for their acting. Considering everytime anything Vancouver gets let out it's always Van wants an astronomical return for any player.

So, saying you turned down an astronomical return would run parallel to that would it not?

This is pretty much an a hole comment I never said anything negative about anything but Luke Schenns play and I actually started by complimenting Schenn. So dude relax criticizing one guys play isn't tearing down an entire organization. I absolutely loved the city of Vancouver when I was lucky enough to go there while in the Navy..
Edit I also claimed GMs lie to insiders no offense they aren't doing their job properly if they talk with them and don't.. My friend though have a great day may nothing but happiness come your way.

Assuming the Canucks are accepting a third for Schenn, do you really think they are taking back 4 M in cap for a 5th? Not realistic at all..........

Bjugstad is a good depth piece, but he wont grant what you have presented. if a 3rd and 6th are going to AZ, then Mike Reilly is the player in the deal.
if its Oskar Steen like you showed, the trade would be more like

Steen
2023 4th

Bjugstad
