He played such a great game. 110% every shift. Easily our best player on the evening

So ya, I think Robertson is here to stay. I’m all for it, I really like him.

Great games from Mete and Sandin too, wasn’t a pretty game but I’ll take the two points.

Man, got to start thinking about splitting up the top line. Haven’t looked the same

Also big ups to Samsonov with a .929 save percentage stopping 26 of 28, and one of those goals wasn’t his fault.

Haven’t really seen any leads games this year (I’ve been busy), but by the stats Sammy has been really good. Can’t imagine what it would be like with Murray and some backup like Kallgren.

Robertson - Matthews - Nylander
Bunting / Kerfoot - Tavares - Marner
Kerfoot / Bunting - Kerfoot - Jarnkrok
ZAR - Kampf - NAK

Could be interesting

I’m not sure what kind of sample size they need, 10-15 games but it’s pretty clear after 4 that ZAR Kampf NAK don’t work. They get hemmed in way too often and just don’t fit. I’d like when Holmberg was in the middle of those two but can’t see him getting a call unless there is an injury.

Right now I’d like:
Bunting Matthews Marner
Robertson Tavares Nylander
Jarnkrok Kerfoot Malgin
Engvall Kampf ZAR

Sit NAK

Robertson making that great defensive play in overtime, breaking up the two on one. Maybe he should be the defensive Dman

I feel he needs to be on the third line to get noticed. In Colorado they had him there and he was noticeable heck at times fantastic. I do notice his physicality at times but I honestly feel the 4th line just isnt for him as ZAR and Kampf play a style that just seems not suited for him

Maybe try Jarnkrok-Kerfoot-Kubel for a while and reunite Engvall and Kampf on the 4th with ZAR

Lot of people talking about Engvall so I went and checked and honestly the argument isnt wrong

Engvall is 6'5 and if he learned to play more physical he would honestly be such a good bottom 6 player

As the way he plays just doesnt feel right. As yes hes fast but add some physicality to your game and you could be deadly.

I know you are joking about Robertson playing D but that defensive play in OT, OMG 🤩

These are the kind plays the rest of the top six players need to incorporate into their game.

NAK's defensive metrics are quite good, but yeah he is not a shutdown player by any means

Clifford in replacing Engvall??? I suppose this means ZAR on the 3rd line?

Don't mind having the extra set of fists on the 4th line against the Jets, but boy that bottom 6 is not great...

15-0 when Kampf scores, crazy stat.

Best win for Samsonov, looked really good in the net tonight. Improves to 4-0 with a .938 save percentage. Noice

Whoever plays with Kampf, that line looks better than the 3rd (or 3A) line so far.

Some players work together and some don’t and for some reason ZAR Kampf NAK just doesn’t. No chemistry between them at all and total shock to me cause on paper I thought this was going to be the best 4th line they have had in a while.

Games like tonight make me glad we have a Simmonnds/Clifford in house but I don’t believe you can count on them as full time players. If this was the PHi version of Wayne and LAK version of Kyle then hell ya but they are not those players anymore. There is still a need to find a better fit for Reese and Kubel, they are still important pieces to this team.

For me Kampf and Engvall are perfect for one another. Just need to find there Mikheyev replacement

I just want to see Engvall - Kampf - Jarnkrok. No reason to think it couldn't work. Still two 3rds of what was one of the best shutdown lines in the league last year.
