Description
THIS IS ASSUMING THAT

They sign Toffoli @ 4.5 mill for 6 years in 2017, now 2019-20 the contract is 4 years remaining.

McNabb was the ED selection in 2017.

Derek Forbort wanted a 2 year bridge deal, now 1 year left on that.

Gravel and LaDue both on the last year of bridge deals from 2017 offseason.

Brodzinski and Mersch are both on the last year of the 2017 contracts.

They sign Kempe to his first contract after his ELC.

Dowd takes a similar contract to Kyle Clifford in 2018.

Iafallo pans out ok, wants a bridge deal, is on the last year of that.

Fantenberg is also pretty good, also wants a bridge deal, and is on the last year of that.

By now Marian Gaborik is 37 and has decided to retire, finally getting rid of that contract.

Kings Draft Michael Rasmussen in 2017 and now he is on his last year of his ELC. I can't predict who they are going to draft the next two years because I don't know what type of seasons they will have.

I assume Doughty is going to want somewhere near 8.75-9 million, and at 29 years of age he will want around 4-5 years.

Also I did not take into account prospects because I don't know if somebody in Ontario is gonna have a monster year and get called up, so I decided to stay away from the AHL. I didn't get rid of Brown because I don't realistically think the Kings will, but you never know.

This is about how I see it playing out as well.

However, I do think they trade Muzz or Amart this coming offseason. They have to get a playmaker. Tyler Johnson anyone?

Why does matter what Doughty wants in two years. The Kings are competing against other teams offers. There may/may not be offers for Doughty for that much. We don't know. But the logic, of "what a player wants" is dumbfounding.
One reason I believe Lombardi was fired was he read the market for Kopitar so poorly. Who else was offering close 10m for 8 years..

Yea I think they will trade one or the other but I didn't want to make any trades because this is 2 years into the future and who knows what will happen by then

Saying "I assume Doughty is going to want ______" means I think this will be close to what he will get offered, and hopefully the Kings can sign him... And the Kings also have 2 years to figure out an extension with him so before they compete with the rest of the league they at least have a chance to extend his contract... why does it matter if there are/aren't offers for that much? Why does it matter if I say what I think he will get?
