I believe Callahan has a NMC and don't see him waiving that to head west. Especially with TB tossing in a 1st along with him. However for Lehtonen, I could get behind that. That's a run of the mill tank move right there; eat a bad contract to soak up a high draft pick.

Why would Tampa eat Cally's contract if it is a salary dump? And a 1st? I would prefer Brett Howden over that 14th pick anyways.
I like the Dallas trade as that's what I drafted up in mine but i wouldn't even need that 4th rounder in 2018 and I would take that deal.
Canucks ending up with 3-1st round picks basically (33 OA basically is a 1st) would be a pretty successful off season if you ask me. Along with adding Howden (Instead of needing to take Glass with 5 OA) the future would go from minimal prospect pool to vast overnight.

My guess is Dallas just uses a buyout and saves them a first rounder. Hutton would be a good addition for them though.

Those are the kind of trades JB should be making. Take on $$ and move assets for younger players and picks. Tampa would not want to eat $$ and given that they are getting two assets (Tanev and major cap space), a first and a good prospect (Howden) should be coming back.
