Mate Flames have no leverage here, they either sign him to a one year contract that takes him to free agency, or trade him now and get some assets. This would get Tkachuk right now although I'd be hesitant to let Pinto go simply because we do not have enough depth at center

I wish more people understood that Flames aren't obligated to take a bad deal because almost every team in the league would move to add a 100 pt player to their roster.
