That's all he can sign for. He has to sign a 1year ELC contract so he's going to sign where he sees the best fit. Vancouver had an interview with him this week and is one of the options he is considering. He played with podkolzin in the KHL and Allvin has been following him for a lot of years and keeping in touch with his agent.

Yep, a lot of people don't understand that on this platform.

Ottawa was also a team that has been interested this whole year and Dorian talked about them getting them to the public so Ottawa appears very interested wink

Ya it will be interesting to see where he ends up. Ottawa would be a good fit as well and he played with Zub in the KHL so there is that connection.

Yep, and there is a couple other Russians on the roster.

But Dorian was very adament and it's really strange to annouce to the public that you have a really good chance of signing a guy when you haven't signed a guy

Thanks. I think it could make sense for both teams. They're different players but similar value imo. Might need a little extra on either side but a solid starting point that could benefit both teams.

I do think Garland would be a big trade candidate for the Canes, but Necas wouldn’t be the one going the other way, at the very least not yet.
