Keeping panarin but trading arty

Created by: Nick628

Initial Creation Date: Apr. 26, 2017

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I believe signing a player like boyle, who can win face-offs and use his big size to his advantage will help the hawks immensely. Playing next to Kane and Panarin will also bring his point totals up. Arty is overrated in the fact that he cant win draws, and yes he has 2c numbers but hes playing next to not only 1, but 2 top 15 point producers. Imagine putting a guy who can win draws and keep possession for them, and uses his size more. I think Boyle can contribute a lot to this team. Arty needs to improve his faceoff, with Debrincat and Panarin on the LW I 'don't want us payign another 3rd line player 4+ mil. The isles are a great trading partner imo for the hawks this offseason.

Isles need a right winger (AA plays left) or better 2nd line center than AA. out of curiosity why dont you want panik? hes an RFA and could keep him on the cheap

Hate to say it, but the Isle don't really have the pieces for Panarin. I understand why they want him but NYI really isn't a good fit from a CHI perspective because there's just too much money coming back...unless they over paid like Brazal Hamoic +, but I wouldn't do that from an Isles standpoint.

I do like the Boyle idea though! Very much!

1. Hamonic/Dal Colle SHOULD be able to get Duchene. They won't though. Sakic wants balls-to-the-wall overpayment for Duchene. If I'm Garth Snow, I'd take Panik, Anisimov and a 3rd rounder for two guys WE ARE TRYING TO TRADE.
2. Frankly, if I'm Garth Snow, I'd rather have Anisimov/Panik than Duchene. We're crowded at LW. We do NOT need another LW. We need a Middle 6 RW badly, especially if Strome gets taken by Vegas. Furthermore, Anisimov gives us a 2nd line Center that could feasibly go to the 3rd line if/when Barzal is ready to inherit the 2nd line Center position. Sure, Duchene has more value than this Chicago package, but OP's trade fits both teams needs better. It's actually really well crafted (from an Isles fan perspective).

In my opinion, id still take the duchene trade 10/10 even if we had to add a pick or a player. Anisimov isnt a terrible return, but RFA rights to Panik who's had one productive season for a former top 5 pick who hasnt even had an nhl shot yet and arguably one of the better defensive defensmen in the league. Ill pass.

i disagree, CHi looking to get younger on D need someone to play top 4 minutes with speed. Hamonic is the guy w the most friendly contract that fits that bill. you will not get as much for panarin as you think. Teams know they have a trade advantage over CHI bc CHI has to move someone. why settle for Anisimov (who BTW still has to agree to be traded) when you can demand panarin? you completely underestimate how weak of a position CHI is in.

I was with you up until you said one of the better defensive defenemen in the league. I like Duchene better but I will not take him at Sakic's stupid price. at the Deadline: yea I would have paid that, but with a deeper market in the offseason, no thanks Joe, not for Hamonic, Pulock, Prospect and 1st round
