Because he’s really bad, and is injury prone.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… we don’t want any more #8OA projects from Buffalo.

The only way he's worth something is if he's having a good year, and they trade him at TDL.

If they want him gone this summer, they're gonna have to pay.

I'm a Habs fan, and it's the same thing with Drouin.

I like it from Chicago’s POV. I guess all things being told I’d rather change the assets to get Vegas first (and in exchange drop the second and/or downgrade mitts). However it’s not a bad offer.

I’d expect you to get at least 2 1sts and a few prospects for Murphy. 😂

He's a 27yo centre (in his prime, valuable position) with 7 20+ goal seasons under his belt and only one year left (low risk, high reward acquisition because he can just walk if he doesn't bounce back). There have already been multiple teams reportedly interested in him for obvious reasons. He doesn't have a ton of value, but the Flames aren't gonna have to pay to dump him lol, goal scoring centres in their 20s aren't that common

He hasn’t been good since the 18-19 season. Plus Calgary needs to clear his cap hit too.

What happens when goal scorers aren’t scoring? 40 goals in the last 185 games, and recently it’s been worse. One of the worst defensive centers in the league. It’ll just depend on how motivated Calgary is to just get rid of him. My guess is anywhere from getting a lower pick to giving one. Maybe a future considerations.
