                                                                                                                                                                                    Hey philly, just wanted to fill you in on some of the discussion points from the thread. One, would you be ok with the 48 hour UFA negotiating window being taken away, but you get special negotiation rights to UFA's when free agency starts? What I was thinking was something like this:
                                                                                                                                                                                    In order to help protect UFA right holding teams and Vegas, non-home teams should have to beat the home offer by 10% of the AAV, and even if they top the offer, the home team should get one chance to MATCH the offer. If they are unable to match, the player goes to another team. If the home team matches the offer, they retain him. Where Vegas gets protected is they would only have to beat the home offer by 5% of the AAV, and even though the home can counter, we should let Vegas make a single counter to the home teams rebuttal offer. This would get tricky in a scenario where a player gets two different contract lengths with an identical total of money paid out over contract. But in any case, we will try and design the system such that Vegas has a better chance to land a UFA than other non home squads.

                                                                                                                                                                                    As of right now, I anticipate to be signing UFAs of Shattenkirk, Jordan Weal, and Scott Darling.
