No reason to retain on Sheahan of $900.000 when he's just barely making $2 million as it is. Howard at 50% retention at $2.65 million should return better then a 3rd and 4th round pick. Same way with Green if we're retaining half of Green's salary then we should get at least a 1st round pick and a top D prospect for him

It's my understanding that foote has fallen to a project 12-20 overall. So unless wings really fall in love with him (we will pick between 7-3) than I doubt we take him. Especially with the emergence of hronek as a high caliber rhd prospect

Yeah I agree with removing the salary retention on Sheahan, as far as howard goes I think we might be able to get a second and a third, as for green he could definitely get more.

I think it will either be him or Timothy Liljegren , I chose him because he has good two instinct and good size to, and I think they should draft a defensemen, I think some times a player will rise and fall till the draft, but foote is a good two-way defenseman playing in the WHL which is generally a really defensive junior hockey league.

But everyone talks about how bad we need defense. Neglecting to realize we do have some pretty good defense prospects. What we don't have is a solid center prospect outside of Larkin. Actually none with top 6 ability. That's a scary thing for a franchise

Agree on Howard if we retain half of Howard no reason we can't get a 2nd and 3rd rounder for him, And Green should net us a 1st and good D prospect at $3 million pretty much think of the Yandle trade here.

Not sure don't really know all that much on San Jose's D prospects. Though Mike Green would be a solid add to the Sharks blueline.

Totally agree that we've some pretty good D prospects in our organization. I would definitely be concentrating on the center position in this years draft and add more to our blueline here.
