Created by: ding
Team: 2016-17 Philadelphia Flyers
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 26, 2017
Published: Mar. 26, 2017
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Sunday Funday build.

Team has a few adds but nothing 'crazy'

Schenn is off for some thin air.
Laughton/Leier will push for spot.
PEB has an 'A' now.... so he is on the team - he sucks... but it is what it is.
AMac is here to stay.... yay! :-|
Vecchione I don't think will sign here based on Hexy comment.
Bring up Lyon as he has showed well in the AHL.
Morin/Sanheim as a pair, I do see them on the team.

PEB doesn't suck, he is our best defensive forward. He makes plays that dont end up on the stat sheet, much like Lappy.

Would argue, Read, Coots, Flip are better defensively.

Okay, he can PK. THAT is it.... THAT is it.

He is in the bottom when it comes to production in NHL 5v5.... let that sink in for a minute. He can't win a draw as a 4th line C. VERY replaceable. I love him as a person, just not as a player on my Flyers team. He has an extension and a raise...

Read? Matt Read? I understand Couturier and Flip, but c'mon, Read? The leadership quality that PEB has is impeccable, hence the raise. I said that his production doesn't reflect his style of play, unlike the guys you mentioned before. PEB just brings that factor in every shift.

Pass on Landy trade, again does not address avs needs. Nothing against Hagg but he isnt going to be the D center piece to get the Avs to trade Landy. The other stuff with Schenn and Weal are just fwd dumps for the flyers.

Avs dont need to take on excess Fwds, they need to open up more roster spots for youth in their system.

hahahahahahaah!! You have to be the most clueless person on this site if you think PEBs is good at any aspect of hockey. Ice time doesn't = talent so just because he "leads" the PK doesn't mean he is even close to average at it - which by advanced metrics / eye test he is far from.. PEBs = garbage . Don't give me the leadership, veteran, etc. We have plenty on this team with G, Simmer, Jake, Read, and even Coots. Read is way better defensively. So is Raffl. I'd even argue Cousins and Weise are better than PEBs when it comes to playing defense so spare us this old narrative it's sad. I like him as a person, but there is absolutely ZERO aspect that can justify his extension other than he is a favorite of the coach/GM. Easily replaceable by just about any player in the AHL.
