Attempt #2 to fix the Avs

Created by: ding
Team: 2017-18 Colorado Avalanche
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 25, 2017
Published: Mar. 25, 2017
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Didn't put too much weight into TERM on the contracts.

We all know the Av's have their work cut out for them.

I actually like this team better than my previous (always fun to guess at this stuff).

I feel the trade values are fair, based on past transactions and current productions.

Unlikey they take Soderberg? IF they do not, then, imagine this reversed.

I would love to do the Landeskog deal...maybe a draft pick on the Flyers side to sweeten the pot.

I like that trade as well. I've been toying with the idea of a trade involving Landeskog and Duchene for Schenn, Couturier, and Gostisbehere, as the main pieces. I like the idea of them making a blockbuster trade with Colorado that has the potential to help both clubs.

I think Sharp is a good fit for Colorado as well.
I've already advised against Oshie for them. He seems like a player that can fit into a good lineup and carry his own weight, but not one that is going to particularly elevate those around him.

It might make sense to trade Zadorov's rights for the inside track in negotiations with one of those free agents if you don't intend to keep him. Maybe take a shot at the rights to Sharp and Nichushkin from Dallas. See if he's interested in returning to the NHL with a different team. If not add a prospect or pick.

Ok. The cap space is there, so use your imagination.

    How would you feel then?

Do you like the lineup? Or just hate the signing???

Come on, feedback / crits welcome!!!!

I like the trades! Can you redo the free agents signings with a little more term and cap for the bigger guys though. Alzner and Oshie would both get wayyyy more. Either in term and/or cap.
