First off it's Rielly.

Second, break that trade down. A depth fourth liner, a d who has been dumped TWICE and a future second? Toronto is going to pass.

Kempe is out of the question,1st and a prospect could be in play if Reilly were to sign an extension beforehand.

Pre McCann I was thinking Kempe and one of their non Turcotte/Byfield c prospects. (Kupari/Vilardi/etc). Don't know them well enough to know which would fit value wise as a very good but not blue chip prospect.

I don't think LA would give up Vilardi but I could see them giving up Kupari/and or Anderson-Dolan along with a 2022 1st or 2nd for Rielly

Leafs won't get more than what they traded for Muzzin,1st and a B level prospect or 2,maybe Madden + Lemieux, that's only if they get him signed long term.

I feel like they have too many good but not great prospects and need to try to do some 4 quarters for a dollar trade.

Like presuming Byfield and Turcotte are their future NHL C's and Kopitar as he mentors them that's three NHL C's plus iafallo can play c

They then have something like Vilardi, Kupari, Anderson-Dolan, and Akil Thomas

Plus Lizotte and Lias Andersen.

Only so many NHL slots. Like it's not bad to have good prospects and players but they gotta move for other areas of need eventually

Lemieux is not a b level prospect. He's like 25 he's a depth player. I don't know madden.

But sure my argument is Kempe is equal to the mid first and two b prospects is worth an a minus prospect. ie obviously Byfield and Turcotte are out of play. But one of the better prospects or two of the okay ones.

Madden is more than a B level prospect that's why I added a roster player in Lemieux.

What we're willing to spend is NOTHING like Kempe, Lemieux and our 2022 first.

Either of the next two firsts is out of the question. But check back with us if you sign Rielly long-term.
