Blues are the 14-15 Wild before the Dub trade. Strong defense, lacking center depth, garbage goal tending, Brodziak and (now) Yeo as the HC. Wild just didn't have a Tarasenko quality of player then.

Fix the goalie issues and the Blues will be the team nobody wants to see in the Playoffs.

That's a good trade and I like the lineup, but like wabit said, goal tending sucks.

Why acquire Krejci, making 7.25M for his mid-30s, when STL has young guys to pay? STL couldn't afford Brouwer or Backes, and shouldn't have handed out 4 yrs and big money to Steen IMO (although hindsight is 20/20 - he was amazing last year). The core of the team is Tarasenko, Schwartz, Fabbri, Pietrangelo, and Parayko. The weakness at center could be addressed by moving one of these guys in a Johansen-Jones style trade, or relying on the draft to find a gem (hard when you make playoffs all the time). I don't think the answer is an aging, pricy centerman, especially considering STL signed Stastny in his prime for less $ than Krejci and it still didn't work out. Just my two cents.

if they sell off Shatty and Bergie they are looking for prospects and young kids not a 30something. Sponner would be a key in this deal not Krejci
