Debrincat, Kane are truly untouchable. Dach would almost certainly be in that category if it weren't for the fact that a certain Eichel trade discussion has erupted.

and probably Dumoulin too. Hard to find D-men who are great on 5x5, great on the PK, big, physical, hits, blocks shots, contributes enough offensively, makes very few mistakes, turns 30 in Sept, and only getting paid 4.1M per. Plus(+) 73 for his career.

I hate the term untouchables because I would be fine with trading most players if it meant the team is better.

I don't like the term either because according to the term the only untouchable player would be Connor McDavid. I generally take untouchable to be a player that you wouldn't trade unless you were getting a top tier player in return

Mackinnon,Makar,Rantanen and honestly Girard. Which sounds crazy considering recent events but the avs would have to revive a Duchene type return for Girard.
But besides that technically I can see anyone being traded, ofc for an adequate return.
(Didn’t put Landy on here because he doesn’t have a contract rn but if he did definitely Landeskog.) ((Byram would also be hard to trade for.))

Yeah, it's just one of those sports terms that everyone has a different definition for.
