Okay, thanks. It’s only a 5th, so sure I would take a chance on him. If any other sabres fans know more about this Brett Murray guy please tell me.

Curious as to why, with nearly $16 million in cap space, no offer is made to Ullmark to re sign?

Perhaps an offer was made and Ullmark decided he didn't want to sign with this tire-fire?

"Trade Olofsson while his value is at the peak. He really did not produce that well without Eichel" that is blatantly false

I dont get why you wouldnt want to keep Murray. Id rather have a guy that can play now than a 5th rounder who might not ever see the NHL. And give the Sabres draft history we know they really struggle with the later rounds.

FInally a fair value Eichel to Minnie trade. I think Parise has a lot left in him so I don't mind us taking his contract that much. Not the return we should look for from Reinhart. 2 players with 1 year left, neither of which will stay and a 1st in the 20s. I'd be looking for a top prospect and a 1st or 2nd. I'd confounded as to why we would trade Murray and Olofsson. Murray hasn't made a chance to prove anything and no team will trade a pick for an unproven, albeit somewhat promising, player. Olofsson is definitely someone we should be keeping. He will only get better 5v5, not worse. If we move Risto, we should just go for quality and not quantity. Get the highest quality pick and/or player/prospect you can.

I really like Reinhart but I think he's valued way too high here considering its RFA rights and he's close to UFA territory. A starting goalie in Merzlikins almost covers the value. The wildcard here is Domi.. 1 year at $5.3mil left and he produced at 3rd line rates last year but tough to gauge on a bad Columbus team after producing at top 6 levels the couple years prior in Montreal. Either way, I think this would be an overpay for Columbus.

As an expansion-exempt starter, Merzlikins is not getting moved unless we get something truly special back. In particular, he is most emphatically not a package throw-in in a buy-high overpayment.
