Yes. It starts with Spencer Knight. And, with BOB having a decade left there...they could do it too.

That first round pick is going to be late, you're forcing Chicago to take Connolly and everything else is fluff.

Doesn't seem fair for the Hawks :/

Doesn't start with knight, we have lankinen and comesso. It starts with Lundell

Fair enough. Lankinen is the real deal.

Fluff? What we are essentially doing is a 1st round pick, a B prospect, an A- prospect, and a "dump" for a Top 6 player
Doesn't seem that bad

Don't think that Kubalik commands anything incredibly exceptional like a top prospect

Lundell looks great but so have plenty of other guys that haven't translated to the NHL. Kubalik is a sure thing Lundell isn't. The point in this post should be that for what it would take for the hawks to move kubalik, it doesn't make sense for florida

In all sincerity... Kubs is getting better every game.

He started as a rookie last year with about 9 minutes ATOI. Not a ton. The 2nd half of the season when they finally trusted him (the last 34 games) had 32 points in 34 games. Then 8 points in 9 games in the playoffa. And this year...with no Kane still has 23 points in 30 games. Kubalik is the 3rd best player on the Hawks right now behind Kane and Debrincat.

Kubalik absolutely would command a top prospect in a trade with another team.

He's a top 6 forward, at a good cap hit and under team control for the foreseeable future.

He provides incredible value for the Hawks.

Looking at it a bit closer, Noel and Levi might provide some value for the Hawks but neither of those two players have proven yet they can play at the highest level of hockey.

I know you might say Levi had a phenomenal world juniors tournament but he was goaltending for a pretty stacked Team Canada against weaker countries.

Furthermore, world junior stars have become NHL busts before.

I'm sorry but there's not enough here to entice the Hawks to give up on Kubalik frown

Yeah, just nothing particularly exciting here, which the Hawks would need to trade Kubs.

As is Commesso looking really good so far. Lankinen will hold down the fort for another 2 seasons and then comes Commesso to back him up at first and become a potential franchise goalie.

It would have to be overpayment, his play and production is top 6 with middle 6 TOI, not to mention he will still be RFA after this contract and he is expansion draft exempt. There is no reason for Chicago to trade him for market value, unless they use him to get assests they want.
